How to use hard wax. Melt the wax in a wax heater or silicone wax bowl to a smooth, honey-like consistency and test the temperature on your wrist. Apply with a wooden spatula in the direction of hair growth, leaving a slightly thicker edge for gripping. Once the wax is set and no longer sticky, remove it quickly against the direction of hair growth, keeping it close to the skin. Finish with an after-wax oil or soothing gel.
